One of the priority objectives was to create an urban suture between the district of housing estates and the residential area. The pedestrian walkway provides this connection on which are located access to schools, leisure centers to the existing kindergarten and sports fields. Then we tried to protect the buildings as much as possible from the noise of the A3 motorway. The imposing massing of the sports centre forms a screen at the corner of the plot and helps to partially protect the schools. Moreover all the facades oriented on this motorway are oriented on the inside of the island or protected by a glazed peripheral traffic. We have also taken into account the constraints of phasing allowing a rapid rotation of the demolitions and reconstructions to limit the duration of the works and guarantee a good functioning of the equipments until the final delivery.
Finally, the facilities, in the continuity of the existing nursery school, present a front built on the 18 April 1944 avenue. The ensemble forms a linear with various templates and ornamental elements punctuated by full or openwork metal fishnets. The Sports Centre is characterized by a white aluminum fishnet. The school by a natural aluminum fishnet. A base in millstone unifies the two equipments. The roofs, visible from the surrounding housing estates, are vegetated. These simple materials that reflect light fit harmoniously into their surroundings while forming a strong urban signal. These facilities will be an important landmark and focal point within the neighborhood.
