Overlooking Clamart, the gymnasium is anchored on a slope above a vast sports field. To take full advantage of this panoramic situation, the extension of the building, materialized on the facade by a glazed concrete pivot, was carried out in the extension of the existing one, facing the landscape. A long glass linear completed with a double-skin palisade in wooden blades is punctuated by a cantilevered element, transparent box creating a scansion in the rhythm of the main facade. This double skin guarantees thermal and solar insulation while evoking the wooded environment of the complex.
The functional organization of the interior spaces can be read on the outside by transparency effects. The comfort of use has not been forgotten, with the creation of two access halls, one for the public, the other for athletes.
