    Mamoudzou à Mayotte

    Polyvalent High School

The site of the Mamoudzou South high school presents an exceptional plant heritage and a significant difference in altitude. The buildings are laid out in strips, along the level curves, respecting the type of soil and outstanding trees.

The site of the school has an extremely important slope. We have largely drawn inspiration from this to imagine buildings that are grounded in nature and built on an exceptional land and plant heritage.
The buildings unfold in a linear manner on three successive plateaus, bound by many bridges.
Serving a strong environmental ambition, we have aimed for a great simplicity in the operation as well as in the maintenance and servicing purposes. We particularly favored natural ventilation, using the peculiarity of the site to take advantage of the «Venturi effect».
